The story behind Northern Finance:
Northern Finance was founded in 2017 by Aleks Bleck in a shared student flat in Lüneburg. Since there were no videos on YouTube about the interesting new asset class of P2P loans (loans from private individuals to other private individuals) and text blogs can be a bit boring, Aleks simply started the first German-language YouTube channel for P2P loans himself and continuously developed it further during his time as a student. Today, Northern Finance is the largest blog for P2P loans in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in terms of monthly views.

With more than 33,000 subscribers on YouTube, Northern Finance achieves 100,000 to 200,000 views per month on the topics of investing with P2P loans and ETFs. ETFs were added to the portfolio as a second focus in 2019 and, together with P2P loans, form a favorable and high-yield combination for long-term investments.
The blog on the website is growing rapidly and now occupies the top three positions on Google for numerous topics in the area of “investing with P2P loans and ETFs”. This is partly due to the high dwell time of up to 8 minutes on our experience reports, comparisons, rankings and other informative content.
